Welcome to 2020
This one our first of the year "Welcome to 2020" nearly didn't get released, It originally had different artwork but we couldn't get it through, anyway over christmas period probably after a few too many decided to put out 1st Jan.
Lyric wise probably not much to explain here its pretty straight forward..." A clown can be quite funny, but you don't want him as leader" "Taxes designed for the rich an if you're poor well they're just bleed ya".
I think everyone gets what I mean by that.

In a relationship where ya just seem to fight all the time over everything, ya don't want to but it becomes normal, oddly you never seem to do anything about it either just stay there fighting through each day and making up at night.

This track was quite popular with some, I think Tom Robinson put it in a list of tracks he liked.
The song lyrically some won't agree with I mean people spend their lives chasing a big label signing. When they get there is it what they expect? You become an investment, something a company has invested their money into and they want profit for that investment.
A Road called Hope Street
I think everyone needs hope in their lives, everyone needs a hope street. This single I think from memory was about at the time of first lockdown . John Kennedy radio x gave this one a spin, that hope street see you gotta stick with it, keep ringing those bells hoping for an answer.
Times Robbin me blind
Time tis a thing, as soon as you do anything its already in the past, as I write this its already a memory, its already happened, its time has gone.
Time seems to speed up as ya get older things pass quicker.. Them summer holidays at school lasted forever now older blink an another year gone past.

A song based around our youth, bumming around getting up at 10am heading to pub busking getting enough to get by, get through the day, drinking at night, back to bed to go through groundhog day again tomorrow.
Lovin Rendezvous
Meant as an uplifting song, hopefully works that way for some "Stop the rain from fallin in on you" Goes on to jest about get a boat, a canoe, its only a little shower be gone in around an hour. Really what I'm getting at is we all have those terrible times in our lives when we think the world is falling in on us and we will never get through it.
Thing is as the song says its only a little shower be gone in about an hour, in the future you will probably have forgotten all about that problem, the world didnt collapse around you after all.
Outta Hibernation
Or as some know it that "squirrel song" from the vid..Simply a song about drinking, going out having fun with your friends.
Grass Recess
"I think i'm gonna need a holiday, pack ma bags be on my way" I think we all needed a holiday in 2020 .If ya can't go at least sing about it. could have been cheap and covered cliff richards "Summer Holiday" I guess. But you know what I mean, its been an awful year and we could all do with a break from the madness.
Song
Enjoyed spitting this one out, the anger, emotion in it about a failing relationship. It might not be everyones favourite but hell was fun to do.

Goona Finda
Ok this is a bit of fun, The one released, the take on the album/single is really a run through, there are other versions more lets say pc friendly without any mistakes, nice and clean.. but really i wanted to just keep it real and put it out like that i actually dug around to find early run through with mistakes. Is it as good a song like this? the songs exactly the same, the lyrics, melody, the basis of the song. it just isn't commercially correct lets say.
The song itself is based on someone we know, he isn't actually called Steve and amazingly still doesnt even realise the song is about him, thats what he's like he is so cool in his mind it couldnt possibly be about him.
He is a guy who still thinks he looks 20 dresses that way, tries to act that way. Problem is to everyone else he's like your grandad dancing drunk at a wedding looks a complete ----
Sailing on the Seven Seas
I could probably fill a whole page just writing about this song but I won't
"Sailing on the Seven Seas" was originally done by OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark) Andy McCluskey and OMD Management very kindly allowed us to change the lyrics which was a very kind thing to do, I mean the original was a big hit , a classic song, to let me change the lyrics so it felt like a "Man eat Grass" song really was something special and I have so much respect for Andy for letting me do it.
The song itself/lyrics is basically a personal irritation. Money can buy plays on the radio or tv. To me a song should earn its place on the radio or tv by sheer quality, its just not my thing.
Its had a spin on the BBC's StereoUnderground show with the great Richard Latto but ya know we aren't expecting much airplay because of the lyric content.
